Manners

Mrs. Left & Mr. Right

This is your Creative Movements number. This song is designed to help teach the children their left from their right. We often use different colored wristbands for this song, so if you can make or find white and black wristbands – you can make them out of simple cheap elastic – so that each kid can have one white and one black band, it will help you with this song.

Dance Instruction

Tessa demonstrates how to teach and use this dance.

Remember that, most of the time, you will be facing the kids, and the kids at this stage will imitate you as they would in a mirror. So if you hold up your left hand they will mimic you by holding up their right hand. We recommend, when you teach this, if you are facing the kids (which you should be) that you reverse your hand movements so that when you refer to Mrs Left, you are actually using your RIGHT hand, so that the kids will imitate using their LEFT, and the opposite for Mr Right.
